Our Family
Our family has owned olive groves along the hillside overlooking Casal Velino, in the heart of Cilento, a unique place rich in nature and history, since the late 19th century. My ancestors were already olive growers and millers—a passion that has been passed down from generation to generation.
Today, together with my father Gino, we carry on this tradition with deep respect for the past, while also looking ahead to the future and embracing innovation. Our olive groves are cultivated using sustainable methods, without the use of synthetic chemicals. They are registered under the Cilento PDO (Protected Designation of Origin)
At Tenuta la Selva, the olive tree is part of our family. For generations, in the heart of Cilento, we have cultivated this land with our hands, minds and hearts. It’s a legacy we carry forward with pride: the same care our grandparents had for every tree is now renewed through organic and regenerative practices that respect biodiversity. For us, farming is more than just work, it’s a family story made of seasons, hardworking hands and flavors passed down through time. And it’s a promise we make every day to the land and to those who choose our extra virgin olive oil.

At Tenuta la Selva our extra virgin olive oils are a true expression of Cilento’s rich biodiversity. We craft them from two cultivars: Salella and Frantoio. Among them, Salella stands out as the soul of this land — thriving between the coast of Casal Velino, the slopes of Monte Stella, and the hills of Castellabate. Every drop of our oil tells a story of origin, care, and tradition. It’s the perfect companion to the Mediterranean Diet, enhancing dishes with genuine flavor and the unmistakable character of our territory.

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil of Memory
Fiò is a tribute to my grandfather Fiorenzo, the man who first saw the true value of the olive grove where our story as olive growers in Cilento began.
This oil is the result of meticulous work in the field and the careful selection of a high-quality mill, together creating a Monocultivar Frantoio extra virgin olive oil with a bold yet beautifully balanced character.
On the nose, it releases the scent of fresh, unripe fruit. On the palate, it stands out for its bitterness and spiciness – an intense, fruity flavor with notes of bitter almond, thistle, and chicory, finishing with a heart of artichoke.

The Salella Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Extra Virgin Olive Oil is born in the heart of Cilento, from olives cultivated with passion and meticulous care. Harvesting begins at dawn in the early days of September, to protect the fruit from the heat and to preserve its delicate aromas. The olives are then expertly processed to create an exceptional oil that embodies the true identity of this unique variety.
On the nose, it reveals scents of fresh grass; on the palate, it is bold and vibrant, with a pleasant bitterness and spiciness and notes of tomato leaf, almond and elegant floral nuances.A deep connection to my land and my roots.
In the charming village of Casal Velino we offer two comfortable apartments, tastefully furnished and carefully designed to provide everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, far from the stress of everyday life.Our guests can enjoy free access to a swimming pool located on a nearby farmhouse just 1.5 km from the property, easily reachable. It’s a peaceful and refreshing spot, perfect for cooling off on hot summer days.At the same farmhouse, it is also possible to book a half-board service which includes breakfast and dinner with authentic dishes from the local tradition.
